Real or a photoshop job??

A mate of mine at one of our US Refineries near the Gulf Coast sent me a bunch of pictures like this. They look impressive but are they real?
Im not sure myself, but one thing is for sure if they are real, I wouldnt have been stood there for long.......

Looks like a real supercell to me.

I have seen something like these 'super cell' type clouds in Kent before - I was just driving along the motorway and spotted something odd looking in the distance that looked like a tornado shape but it didnt reach to ground level - we actually get more tornadoes per square mile in the uk than they do in the states...
