Just got the email below and it inspired me to come by and say hello!

Seems its been nearly 5 years since I logged in to the forums. I was originally a Barrysworld user and made an account when I found out you had moved here after the closure. Prior to Barrysworld I was a customer at Global Internet (anyone remember them?) and lurked on their Darkhour Quake2 DM server and associated usenet group.

How is everything with you?

Over here at FreddysHouse forums the staff have been wondering what may have become of some of our less active members.

Did you previously play DAOC perhaps, but move on from FreddysHouse when you stopped?

Maybe you think you have outgrown gaming, and moved on in 'real life'?

It's always possible that you had an argument with another user, and rage quit?

Finally, you might even have been banned in a previous existence?

Whatever the reason, we thought we'd drop you a quick line to say hi and remind you that FreddysHouse is more then just a gaming forum. Be it advice on DIY, announcing and sharing that you've now reached the ripe old age of 40 or that you or your lady has just given birth to a wriggling little 6lb 4oz bundle of baby joy, there is a friendly community here of friends (and yes, some not-so-friends) who are interested in how each other is getting along.

The technical forums are a source for sound advice from our gurus, the general discussion forum has plenty of healthy discussion on anything and everything, and yes we're still looking at new games, old games, good games and bad alike.

The wiki is a very funny place to visit, come have a look. (Freddy) it is worth it and we encourage updates to the wiki from past and present members.
