herjulf made a RR thread but it got deleted for unknown reasons.

at a guess the thread was deleted due to it spoiling the game. you are supposed to communicate with people IN GAME. not on forums / IRC

Well the raid didn't go as planned but then we all got to get up early to get things done and not sleep all day.... ;P

as i said when i spoke to him, his thread was deleted because whn i read it it was 9:10
it said that at this time theres a relic raid going on. That, im my eyes is the same as going onto irc and saying oi you log, log on theres a relic raid going on. communicate withing the game, on out of it, thats just lame.
had he posted it say an hour or 2 hours later then it would not have vanished, but because it was posted it the time it was removed by me because its akin to just teling eveybody that there is one going on.

That imo is clearly abuse of moderate power, you are not here to police whats posted unless its Rude, spam, or all those items written in the CoC for this board Tilda. Its Not up to you to say whats good ethics if it aint posted in the CoC, now IMO it was lame to post it that early, but that in itself does not contribute to a deleting of a post.

lets see, i delete posts or edit posts that contravene the CoC (GOA's)lie account selling. Cross realm communication is also forbiden and this was just a different for of it, a hib could and probably did read it adn decide to log on and cam amg etc etc, all due to this thread.

BW is NOT, and NEVER WILL BE, a realm wide /as chat.

if you want to report a RR do it on /gu or /as IN GAME.
if you want to gloat or talk to somebody about something that happened in the past or post a "pwned you" post do it on BW, stuff that is happening on the PRESENT should b in game.

fyi im not bothered about relics, yes it would be nice to have them back but it is _totally_ wrong to report a relic raid on open forums, not only does it make you look stuipd but it distorts the game as people dont have to log on to get RR info, just brows the forums.

I was not on the raid this morning, but im sure that _at least_ 1 person saw this and logged on the help defend etc.
its all very well posting a screeie after the event but, mid relic raid posting something with the obvious intent of getting more mid defenders to help you is quite honestly pathetic.

BW shouldnt be used to report about stuff going on at the moment ingame, i agree with Tilda, /gu and /as is intended for that...

I agree with Tilda with this one.

When GOA implement realm /AS then fine.

If you are leading a relic raid and avoid all the guards etc etc, to then get to Relic keep and find that you have a defense force because someone has posted on BW, then you would be pissed off aswell.

Anyone who is planning a relic raid, does not need to hasle and worry about how he will avoid BW postings.

Ok, but how about dragonraid threads, legionraids threads and so on?

A dragonraid thread can make people attack your realm while you are on the raid, should they be forbidden aswell?

That is a much cross realm communication as this, even if it is not meant for it, but neither was this RR thread.

In case you don't get it, if the original(and this) thread has screenie of a mid stealther looking at your RR force at apk, then MAYBE, just MAYBE midgard alliances had been alerted minutes ago already so "avoiding all guards etc. etc." is a bit vain. :rolleyes:

No, this post was posted exactlly for that purpose to alert people of a raid at that present time and for people to log off and defend there relics.

Ok, we had NO fucking clue, really, we were all waiting for a BW post, the fact that a stealther saw you all had nothing to do with it.

And how the hell is getting people to defend cross communication?

I cant say anything against that, as most sensible people would alert thier alliance about any stuff that was happening. But the point of this is did Tilda do anything wrong by deleting a post that was using other means than /AS to let people know of the raid.

Her reasons to delete the thread would make every raid-thread illegal aswell, and she even put a sticky on an alb dragonraid-thread.

Not saying you shouldnt be able to post such things at the forums, I dont see anything wrong with getting people to defend their realm here either.

lol ffs this isnt about who saw you or when and how, it is about wether it is ok for someone to take a screenie of an attemped raid as its happening and post it on BW.
