rcon doesn't seem to be working

Hey there

I have tried this over and over again

got the rcon password from the mail at the bookable servers thing.

then in game i write /rconpassword thepassword

and then /rcon status

and nothing happens, I have tried booking 2 different servers chosing 2 different passwords, but nothing happens when I try using rcon

could anyone help

I have raised this about 20 times now and no one seems to be getting back with me / helping me... maybe you may have luck? :sleeping:


rcon doesn't work on BW bookable... I was going to buy a server but if i buy a server will i be able to rcon to it? with the issues about booking one, I dont think that I would be buying one just yet.

Have you tried connecting rcon straight from the console ?

Load up wolfmp, then bring down the console and type

/rconaddress iport

this points your rcon commands to the server without actually joining the server, then setting

/rconpassword (case sensitive)

then /rcon status

Probably wont help but you never know.

I had similar problems but now I use the following

/rcon password status
/rcon password swap_teams
/rcon password map mp_beach

etc. etc.

If you use a program like 'ASE', just put the rcon password in the server properties before you connect & it sorts it for ya... then when you're in the server, just do the usual /rcon map blah-blah-blah...
