It works for non-steam games if you've set it up to do so.

Steam works for non-steam games as well.

Just add as a non-steam game and it shows in your library and as long as you launch through steam - steam overlay works as well.

Ah right right, then i guess it's the same

Though do games that require Live go well with that?

works for all the GFWL games I have, but they have the GFWL messaging crap as well
