Just failed my driving test, thanks to a total retard of a learner motorcyclist ~~

Started off fine, got to reversing round a corner, pulled up fine and started reversing to the corner. Cyclist pulls up so i stop and wait for him to go, he doesn't move, so i start moving round trying to keep an eye on him and judge the distance from the kerb. He starts to move so i have to stop, reach for the brake and hit the kerb because i'd drifted further having to watch him, incompetant muppet

women that think its fine to be sexist to me because im a guy really fuck me off. i work for Boots (major chemist chain) and get, day after day, women coming up to me saying 'oh, you're a boy, so you won't know this' then proceed to ask me a question, which i can answer, and then dont fucking apologise. it drives me up the wall, because they are there teaching their children its fine to be sexist to men but its wrong to be sexist to women. its fucking double standards like this that drive me mad.

and women that claim to be bisexual that clearly aren't - prime example, friend of mine said she was bi, i laughed and said she 'loves the muff', and she says 'no, thats fucking disgusting'. half the female teens/twenties that claim to be bisexual arent, they just say it so men will be interested and believe there is a 'prospective threesome'.

Same sort of thing happenned to my son, but it was a learner driver when doing a parrallel park, the bloke stopped, then decided he was going, then stopped etc. Eventually my son openned the window and started swearing at the bloke for fking up his test

Today i feel like ranting about emo kids, man i hate this wankers, if you're a bit past it and are fortunate enough to not know what they are then you can basically look at some shitty blogging website like myspace and you'll find a load of self obsessed, overly emotional, unethusiastic melodramatic losers who spend all their time listening to whiney, inaudible crap that makes no sense, while writing about how depressed they are to other sad little fucks on the internet. Furthermore, in the most depressing cases, they'll slit their wrists in a cry for attention, but unfortunately won't actually kill themselves (i mean come on, its pretty easy to kill yourself if you actually want to) Also...keeping it brief, they all dress like a bunch of fucktards.

I work next to a grown up version of this, world is always out to get him etc etc. What makes it worse is that all his friends just agree with him or are just as bad. Prick is off work again with his latest excuse of stress/depression/anxiety. I've nothing against any sufferers of those disorders but I know for a fact he's faking it (since he told me) but thinks the world owes him a living.

Rants on his website all day about random self obsessed pish. does my head in since I'm doing his fecking work.

In my country, Norway, it is a duty for all males capable to join the military for 1 year of their lifes, to do combat training -In case the country ever should be attacked. By capable, it means you can walk/run and carry a weapon. At the age of 18, everyone is examed -and you get to know where you're going to spend the next year. Everyone should go through this. The only exeption is if you are in school/studies at the point you are to join in. Then you get a delay or the school is forced to keep your seat for a year.

Here comes the rant:

In July next year, I will be leaving to join the army for a year, to do my duty. So, what is it that you hate, you may ask yourselves?

Well .. The fact that half of the guys my age cheats themselves out of this very duty, and leave the rest of us to do their hard work. This, by saying that they have "political" or "religious" issues against it, which 99% of them don't. Damnit, half of them got no religion at all, and definitely no political views on anything whatsoever. Damn cowards. So these people sit on their asses for a year, while I'm out there doing both their duty and my own. The fact is, I'm proud that I'm going to be able to help defend my country and my family, if it is ever needed. I just can't comprehend that some people would'nt. Of course I hope it wont ever be necessary, for their sake and mine.

And if it ever came to that, I think the countrys with military, which trains up to three years on duty, would roll the Norweigan army over. I think it's a waste of time, unless you need to get fit.

i just got 3 years extention (SP!) from my duty. becouse i went college. they sent the letter too late for me. so fuck it. im doing my duty in 3 years. BUT atm primeminister is talking about changeing miliary to only paidmilitary. that means when you go to the army, you are going to work there and get paid.

i have nothing against going to train in the military for year, but becouse the inv came too late i had to postpone it.

about 60% estonians are turned down from military service evry year. becouse 70% of them cheat theyr way out and rest are just not fit enough to go

We also have mercenaries.. Soldiers who works as soldiers for a living. We train some of the best soldiers in the world, the Norwegian "hunters" (ulike jeger-grenene for dere som forstår norsk), which operates in many foreign contries. This has resulted that Norway is on the terrorists "Whom to attack next list". Yes, it is still unlikely that we will be attacked, and if we do, the Norwegian defences is only supposed to stand ground for 24 hours till the other NATO-countries arrives to help.

Which countries has 3 years of duty btw? Afaik, thats soldiers on contracts, who works as soldiers for a living. Many countries only have this, and no standard call of duty. We have both. Just because some countries have more
soldieres (note: The Norwegian army is atleast as well-equiped like other armies), and would be able to take Norway, does this mean we should just not defend ourselves in case it happens?

So, just because some people are too lazy to do their duty and lies to get away from it, I should do their dirty work? Some people has to do it, and everyone should, imo.

Lets not turn this into a "My dad is stronger than your dad"-discussion, btw Lets keep to the facts.

My mother went for two years in Israel, and my cousin is on his third year. That is quite understandable. So the countries that actually NEED an army, gives their army proper training.

No, hehe, thats not what I ment Just to clarify, we may accually have to begin serving extra months, and come back to the military more often to do repetition -Because of the very same people. The new rules for Norwegian military service will be set in 2009, and be effective from 2010, afaik.

The problem is that we in Norway, unlike in for example in the USA, does not have enough people to keep the military completely going only by contract soldiers. Even though we have those kind of soldiers too.

So, you see -For the rest of my life (till I'm 55 yrs.old) I may accually, if the trend does'nt change, have to interupt my normal life and go to the army much more often than I otherwise would have to, just to fill the shoes of those cheating their way out of it today. It should be shared burden imo and it is completely and utterly lame/selfish to expect others to do it for them.

Remember, you must not underestimate the Norwegians. After all, we are the only ones ever to conquer the island of Great Britan =) ( You Danes were there too xd ).

Hope you understand my pov better now, and I do of course understand that some people does not want to.. But I also think that its very few that does really want to. Most people seems to be neutral about the military duty. Hence my pov on this.

Yes, thats true, but its all about being prepared.

Aye, I agree on that we are not going to agree, but I still understand and accept you pov =). Please let me quote what the session officer told me, maybe it will help clarify what I ment: "The Norwegian army is supposed to be present enough to make other countries recent from attacking Norway, and if it should happen, stand ground for 24 hours till we get support from NATO".
It's easier to run a country over when it's no military than if it has even just a little, which might make the difference if some maniac ever/in the future is going to attack it or not. And we have NATO's support in addition.
