Ranger questions

1. Whats a good spec at 30? so i can aim towards it
2. what are good RA's to get?
3. And does anyone have any old ranger stuf i can buy?
Seals? [enought to buy full set of emrald ear including bow and weapons]
Old Drops? [random drops you have lying in your vault somwhere]

Or maby... an old ranger suit you dont use anymore?

Just worked this out, this is what I would aim roughly for...

27 Bow
22 Stealth
14 Pathfinding
18 Piercing
4 Celtic Dual

be sure to have at least specced something in celtic duel or you wont ever hit with offhand wpn.

I didn't put too much in CD because You want to be able to do damage with ur weaps so btr more in Pierce, and as that spec is high in bow, your melee should be just to finish someone off.

RAs I have no idea about. Seals, if I'm about PM either Zircon or Tsabo, I'm sure I got some somewhere.

Look on CM, twinked my merc for under 500g yesturday (pretty much capped needed resists and ALL stats) 2 mp weps as well ;o

if you have money on pvp check housing for items. you can buy some lvl 50 stuff that will be fine till your higher but by that time you will have more money.

i made a ranger and spent alot of time looking for items but they seem few and far between.

best to ask in /b for emmi seals.

i was thinking of TS Volly and falcon arrow but im not sure they would be good for PVP server

rapid fire is in bow spec, camloflage is just natural at lvl 30

falcon arrow shoots 150% ontop of normal amount for 1 shot.

i'd imagine its pretty useless cause only places like goth or mm have that kinda open area to capitalise on the range

from my experience cd doesnt affect ur to hit modifier just your to swing modifier and how consistant off hand dmg is tsabo gave you a good spec

i think tho from this site i read if you have 0 cd then you will never hit with off hand so may as well use shield. even if you spec 1 point in you will have a chance to hit with both hands.

i may be wrong with this but the site did mention this

also quickness is better than dex. they said you cant increase the dmg by dex merely increase the speed via quickness.....b4 you disagree please prove why they are wrong.

i dont know who is right but they argued a good point

lower quick->you hit harder per hit but more seldom
cd affects the chance to swing only

in cd and dw the damage is like on mainhand and uses that ws

la on the other hand is something completely different!

even with 0 cd you still have a chance to hit with offhand this its either 25% or 15% chance cant remember which, 25% I think.

I have a hunter 35...

RA's

Aug Dex 2, Aug Quick 2, Falcons Eye 2, Aug Str 1

Aug Dex increases bow and spear damage, and increases evade.
Aug Quick makes Critshot and normal shot faster for same damage and increases evade, good for fighting casters.
Falcons eye 2 Makes bow crit hit 10% more.
Aug Str means I can carry more loot and a hit a fraction harder with spear.

Due to BB's not being that popular I specced High Bow and high Beast Craft, I play much the sniper, If I need Mele.... then the wolf comes out....

1 in DW = 25.68% 2 swing offhand, according 2 spydors, in final spec id aim for like 25 CD with +11 ur gunna have just under (bye 0.42% if u wanna know ) 50% chance 2 swing offhand weapon. but at a low lvl 6 CD will b enough, for a 30% chance 2 swing offhand (wont need more than that till ur about lvl 40 imo, concentrate on pierce/slash more as ur offhand weaponskill is calculated on that)

My Hunter on Mid Excal in BG Fully SCed does hit harder after having BB Buffs put on, not sure which stat it is that does this, but I always assumed Dex.

And how comes to get Falcon's Eye 1 You need Aug Dex 2 first if Dex doesn nothing for an archer class?

I say we test it Bahumat, 2nite or 2moro will log on my hunter on mid excal and shoot some arrows around and get an average of damage with different dexs and check the outcome. But I'm pretty sure dex does effect bow damage from my hunters i played, cos i did seem to hit alot harder once buffed.

Plus the RA needin aug dex 2 thing...
