Random number generator in C?

I'm currently (trying) to program something in C but i need to generate a random number (between 1 - 20 idealy), I'm looking into in at the moment but is there a function to do this? or in fact any other way you may know of. Thanks

Edit: I should have said I've only done a term an a bit of C and im still getting to grips with bits of that so the simpler the method the better.
