Clearly user error. I have a similar set up in my car, paired it to phone using NFC, job jobbed. No need for additional apps etc. OK the phone is Sony as well, but it is using standard Android functionality to work.

Unless you have an iPhone, in which case that serves you right.

Samsung, had to download 2 Sony apps, one just so the NFC crap worked. Probably some propriety bullshit.

Anyway, works well now, happy with it.
