The place my friend works (University) is so amazingly PC that it is now recommended that you do not even talk to people you do not know well. One guy got an official warning for telling someone her dress looked nice. That is apparently way out of order in the work place (only from a guy to a girl, girl to girl is fine). And another guy got moved to another office because he asked a girl out during work time. She said no and he thought oh well then he got the call from HR. When she found out he was a higher grade than her she went to HR because she felt really pressured and was worried there would be repercussions to rejecting him.
