It's true actually. After the war was over, they found frozen corpses of russian soldiers with sausages in their mouths

It's due to the fact that the russian army was given white bread and tea(basically), while the finnish were given rye and fat 'cause we knew our winter(again, basically).

When a starving, cold, russian platoon comes across a steaming buffet of fat and such, they go food-mad really and are, easy pickings.

We used unfair, backstabbing, downright ugly tactics, and we loved it

Yeah, the Finnish/Soviet part of WW2 is another example of how just about every country did something to bring the downfall of Hitler. If it wasn't for the fins fighting so well, Hitler may very well of not attacked russia with as much determination; it was part his lack of confidence in their army (brought about by the fins resistance) which forced their armies to continue despite the russian destroying all supplies as they retreated and ending up with a huge fatality rate. The russians redeemed themselves in their fighting prowess with that move, even if it was essentially just a mass retreat

Well to be honest, you lot should be thankful that the Fins do anything for a victory, otherwise you would've had to face the Finnish soldiers(not to mention one of the best fighter pilots in the world) in addition to the german troops.
