Help RAM question

i got some ddr2 800 memory modules would i be able to put those into a mobo that states ddr2 400 is max and they will just run slower or will i need to get some ddr2 400

Anyone know ?

entirely up to the sticks, really - best bet is asking the producer directly (email to support)

their corsair xms ddr2 sticks if thats what you mean ..

you mean some will run slower and would work and some wouldnt ?

*most* will work, and I would look down on any that doesn't.

Most of them will run perfectly fine, very rare you find any that don't, and the ones that don't are probably the ones that are sold by a dodgy guy off a market stall, and have no branding apart from "made in taiwan"
