Ram or Monitor

My current pc specs are:
P4 2.6ghz 800fsb
Herc Radeon 9800pro 128mb
1gig ddr (2700)
15" very high responce time (and a nasty dead pixle)
Shuttle Machine

I was wondering if it would be best to get better ram, maybe 3200 so I could overclock my P4 which I can't do so well with 2700. If so could anyone recommend a nice model of ram?

If I got a monitor, I would most likely want a flatscreen 17"+. I don't really know the difference between flatscreen and crt apart from how far it goes back, which I dont care about.
So would I be best getting a flatscreen or crt? Can you recommend any models :)

For the monitor, a crt would be cheaper, have a higher resolution, and a sharper image with less smearing. Personally I'd go for a 19", much better to have those extra couple of inches.

Ok, firstly you're really going to need to tell us your budget.

Secondly, what motherboard do you have currently?

If you've got an 800FSB CPU, then I take it your shuttle is Springdale or Canterwood based?

In which case, PC3200 will give you a performance bump, as long as you use a matched pair of DIMMs (equal speeds, equal sizes) - if you can stretch to ~£400 though look at the 1760 series TFTs from NEC, awesome colour reproduction and great for gaming.
