Well. atleast I had great fun in thid last night. Lots of hurt people sitting down, the bets targets for a SB. A few times I actually managed to kill 3 albs in a row in less than 10 sec. To be able to get that off you have to sneak around in the middle of the enemy crowd and naturally I got whacked a few times when infs unstealthed me. Once by 3 dmg from a pbaoe aswell.
I tried the hitting people through the door at one time but when my first target shot me down with a xbow I decided to stay outside the keep instead.
One time a inf (Saryasha?) PAd me in the water, but with 2 hits I won I think. So I stayed close medding and then came a lone resser. So I thought the only thing better than killing an inf would be to kill his resser aswell. But as I started hitting the cleric 3-4 infs,scouts,minstrels and god knows what not pops up and quickly kills me, nice work of you there.
Was a fun night, and please remember to not bring a ram next time either so the raid will take long time

Actually i had a lvl 34 Thane before
And he had PBAE, not that its very powerfull, but it is an

aye, we were kinda expecting the force to still be there, you know, those 20 albs + we left behind to get the ram, but were greeted with a middie force outside the keep!
really not expecting that, they then ran back accross the river, we had no chance really :/
i suicidied trying to take down eztl (omg what is your slash resist!!) but i almost got him/her
i got my revenge later though im proud to say.

I wasn't really there yesterday, only for a short time in the end. I didn't came back because of all the spam and it seemed there were 50 albs running around soloing the keep
But, as I said, I wasn't there for long.
To me it seems that in the beginning when I entered Thidranki for the first time we were really looking up to taking the keep and it was a big thing that required a good leader, a determined army and a good planning. Maybe we over-planned, but it sure worked
Then later on we have been more loose and thought that taking a keep doesn't require any special focus.
Maybe I have just been in better groups in the beginning or maybe I were a n00b... am a n00b that is

Oh yes, take it out of context, THEY in that sentence would be the spammers, not the ram team, thank you very much.
So resent all you want mate if that's the case.
I wanted the keep, and yes I did help carry parts there for the first ram, some of us has work to get up to in the morning so I left before the 2nd one got up, and all the spam contributed aswell.
I logged on my minstrel to carry the parts for the first ram, just to stand there listening to the spam, and to get killed when I logged Sary back on, eating dirt till Salin saved me.
And no, I did not have the exact facts of what numbers of items it would need to build it, soz bout not studying everything before I logged on that night mate.
I see no use standing there fighting the bloody doors for several hours, waste of time, better organise it and hit them where it hurt and fast.
BTW, didn't see no Suzanne there when me Fethers and Thros... something, an armsman was fetching ram parts from Fort Sauvage? I.e there was no way you could say that I wasn't there since you weren't, lol.
Next time Suz, do read the whole post and think for a bit before flaming, Eh.

no thanks to mitsu who wouldn't give us the ram, we had to ferry parts from cornwall twice, it took us 3hrs, and a lot of effort from a very dedicated army of people
special thanks goto alannah for beingn a) suicidal b) having the parts we needed, vindi for making sure i was close enough to the door twis for everything, pwy for everything, and smave for being there always also thanks to atomi, sorry i didn't take your wood, already had too much also to hendrick for the beaks, the minstrel who ran us the second beak, meepthor for making the harnesses twice, the albion army for never giving up, the door bashers who helped us keep the doors below the magic 25%, the cabbies / wizzies / sorcerers / theus for their excellent archer AoE'ing and kicking anything that spawned, thanks to the infils who patrolled the area constantly, thanks to the friars and clerics who kept everyone alive (you guys were ace, you deserve medals for the abuse you put up with).
i dont mind that you were sniping at me while i ran back and forth ( i got spies everywhere, or just maybe the cg ) for parts, **** happens, if i was one of you id be annoyed too thankyou all for staying the distance, the dedication showed.

8pm start getting first ram together, mitsu then throws a wobbler over something we didn't get, so he decides we cant use the ram we vaulted last night that was spare. hendrick gives us a beak, i buy a cladding from a AC down at cornwall, meep gets us 2 straps, one ram sorted.
9:15 ish take ram with suzy and a good team of takers and setup first ram. door goes down insanely quick after we have pulled the guards
9:20 i admit we dont have a second ram (was really praying mitsu would change his mind)
9:30 call to alliance for parts for second ram, alannah tells us she has 2 parts, we get the others from meep + connahorn from cornwall and by accident, take 2 beaks, 2 harnesses and all the wood etc..
10:20ish try to build second ram, my log says:

/cry
10:21 tell everyone we dont have a ****ing beak. call goes out for another.

And you asked me to go get your ram? Last time I checked it was mine. Then Smave said I was trying to ruin the raid - that same Smave who was sounding all clever last night when that other ram got a little misplaced. That kinda pissed me off.

Bah typical that you attack Thid while my main is in the frontiers fighting Hibs and Albs after their relics back (well done hibs btw no-one saw that coming). You'd have got a much more exciting fight and I could have capped my RP's at the same time
I did manage a little run-out in Thid much later and must thank your guys for standing close together so that I get max effect from my AE

No, not quite correct.
The person with the beak was Catnap I believe, an alt of Catnip Lightpaw of Phoenix Legion, Alannah's guild.
The minstrel that ferried it was someone from my guild that happened to be in Camelot. <salute>
Leganza, I scolded you when I saw you later, and really, I don't know the full story. Just that I understand now why you didn't give it to us. You don't know many of us, and after the previous evenings failed attempt, giving a ram to people that didn't look like would stand a chance (after many, many slaughters before the raid started) would definately seem like a waste of good resources.
What was sad, was that half the so called ram-team were infiltrators. <sad> But, the fighters that remained did us proud. We were worried that while we were gathering the parts for the second ram, that the first would close. As we ran up with the parts I was elated to see two groups of fighters hitting the first door. <salute>
I took lots of pictures afterwards...because someone always wanted to take a close up view of the etching artist. <grins and slaps Toots>
What then ensued was a back and forth battle between the Midgard Bridge and their Portal keep which slowly died out.
Ahh, Etzl. I waited and waited. I stalked you for ages while you ran around and later sat at your portal keep. On my second attempt, I managed to catch you, your spell hurt, but not quite as much as the arrow from that Troll Archer. At least I had the pleasure of watching my poison kill you before I died.
Please, someone from Midgard, tell Avarlynd (spelling?) that I'll be keeping an eye one her. </kiss>
Before I fall asleep. I would like to thank Mistress Linnet of the Templars for not only crafting me a splendid set of armour, but also for securing me two of those Serrated Lion Fangs.
Thidranki Faste is ours. As it was always meant to be. Now, see if you can take it back in prime time. </flex> Just wait till you see how good our infiltrators are at defending.

Tis the life of a runemaster to keep moving, much as i'd love to stand and fight I have to make you earn your RP's. Relic raids permitting I should be around tonight for revenge, maybe I can introduce you to another spell from my reportoir.
And to Michelle, thank you for the kiss outside the PK early in the day. Unfortunately my only method of return is on the end of a bolt.
