Raids, a look forward

A lot has been said, and even more then it should have been said, this thread is not on what was right or what was wrong, this thread is about what should happen next time to avoid such things from happening again.

Some people are just not meant to go well with each other, but that does not mean, that they cannot talk or organize some things together, while trying to be civil and having good time with their friends, cause after all this is what it is all about.

I hate to see a good friend of mine as kama is getting through all this hassle, her intent is good, doing raids for the majority of the people, who will come in not only because they are blinded by the drops, but maybe they come cause they cannot go to a place like galladoria with just their guild.

I also know Tyka does not like the zerg aspect of the game, but that does not mean he is in the wrong when he is saying his opinions about how a good raid should not turn out to be a zerg.

So, let all that was said and done behind, cause after all, this is meant to be for fun and not meant to turn people against each other.

This is all done in the hope that people can get together and find a way to go forward, they do not necessarily need to be best buds, but things that can make the game for the best can be only be of advantage for tyka, kama, me and all other people that have fun in this game.

Nice post HD, makes sense to me, first i want to say i am not a guy you cant co operate with, this being said, i just want to say that i spoke to Kama and she tells me that she wont do her raid the same time as ours, well it could been me that backed of but she offered to do that and i respected it, i also invited her to join up on our raid. Now, 20 mins later, she comes inside with around 9fgs and just stomps the dungeon down leaving a few mobs to us to kill, well np with that its a free place and all, but imo she should have spoken to me before and we could have agreed on something.

Seeing posts like this, seems like she just wants to get back at some people, i was not the guy who did this raid, i was the guy people messaged and got told to sort it, i did my best but Kama obviously do it her own way and dont care about anyone else.

I cant control what people say to Kama but i can sort out that we could've shared Galla with a fair number of people, and kama did not have to bring all those people there after she tells me its ok and she will do her raid on thursday.

Im glad to see people can be adult like Harley when it gets this far, and dont act like Kama just to push people down

Tyka with all due respect but this was a thread to make things better for the future, a lot has been said already, so why not leave what was said an done at the door and start afresh?

We can do nothing about what happened, but surely we can make it better for future hunts for ALL hib, and that is what I am looking for.

To prevent future collisions with dates of raids, I would propose if we use the alliance-motd with any upcoming raid-dates. Lets be serious: RvR is too fast-paced to make an RvR-related amotd of any use, and larger RvR-raids will probably not be announced there for obvious reasons ( read: spys ).
In the past the amotd stated things of a more general meaning ( like defend keeps, don't spam etc), which I really think we don't need that bad. Ok, the current amotd is "Giv Icebreaker back!", whcih is somehow more important , but after seeing yesterdays flaming I'm willing to sacrifice that motd-spot for future raid-announcements.
So unless I hear anyone greatly against this, feel free to message any CF-GM ( that would be Gray, Verata, Jozen or me) to set that motd, so we can all work together again and enjoy this game

great idea Harle, and I think it would solve some major issues, the only problem would be the other alliances coming to know that, but CF and CBH can pass info like this no problem, ofc not fogetting other alliances, a nice calendar feature would be nice, but that would be asking too much from Daoc.

Well, an agreement was come to, Tyka and I would communicate and make sure this didn't happen again. I assume Tyka has withdrawn from this agreement. I never told you I was not coming to Galla yesterday Tyka, you and I both know the truth. No, people joined my raid because we have FUN, I know, a strange concept to you, but try to imagine it! Everyone gets a fair shot at a drop and we accomplish things <cough> aroon <cough>.
As for people joining my side on this dispute, I never asked anyone to. I told everyone on my hunt that if they didn't agree, they shouldn't come with that time and join me next time. I got spam all night saying way to go, about time someone didn't step down to VNG. It's called principals, get some.

You mean me saying NOONE HITS VNG MOBS, and me telling them to rezz you when we you all died? I got so many PM's from people asking if they had to rezz you, and I told them, no, but I think it would be nice if you did.
I can't force people to rezz you, I asked them nicely to do it, but everyone refused to rezz you personally, had no problems with the other people tho.

Rich coming from someone who "do our own thing". You don't do your hunts for the realm, you do your hunts for VNG. Don't act as tho you do all these great things for other people, we all know that's BS

i've been reading these threads and seen many ppl flamed etc, id just like to say ppl keep saying tykas raid noone has a change to get drops etc blah blah

but 9 ppl from PDC went on the raid with vgn and we got 2 drops from lottoing so what has been said about everything been preclaimed is wrong and it shouldn't b brought up every thread if it isn't the truth....

I don't need to brag, not at all. I know what I have achieved, and what I have not, I don't care if you know it or if anyone else knows it. It's not MY achievement anyways, it's the people who took him down. The most credit goes to Talivar, he's the one that leads the actual hunting, I just get the people there and deal with the spam/lottos.
Tyka, you seem to be confused, you don't actually believe that I care about you or anyone else thinks of me in game do you? I have friends and family that I concern myself with, and tbh, there's very little room in my life people of your calibur. It is after all, a GAME. I enjoyed our little argument, it added some entertainment to the day, but it's gotten old and borring now, I move on to better things.

1st this is no attempt 2 protect Tyka, this sentance is prolly in vain since most ppl with ignore it and read on.. but now its said

I DID NOT go on galladoria raid yesterday because i had to log.. not the point.. but just more useless info (trying 2 prove some trustworthyness)

I saw on celtic fist Alliance Chat a few hours be4 the raid led by Priss/Quela/Sinta that was about 2 be challenged by a raid by Kama, later priss said this was discussed in /sends, and resolved. Few minuts later i read on /as that Kama pushed her raid, because vgn raid was arragned since friday.

After this she announced on as that she didnt want ppl 2 pm her, asking for the date of her postponed raid...

just thought id post this (only by my own memory, no logs whatsoever, dont hope i need 2 to refresh the about 400 or so ppl with cf /as access, their minds)

You're both spewing BS now. This should not have been brought into this thread. But since it has...

1. I know quite a few people in my guild said they only went on preclaim raids because noone was organizing FFA raids. Making an FFA raid can be quite a lot of trouble, and i respect Talivar/Kama a lot for taking that upon themselves. What they are doing *does* benefit the realm a lot, as anyone who wants to raid galla gets a chance to do so.

2. I did not see anything bad being said about vgn in the CG by either Talivar or Kama, they clearly stated that people should behave and not slag vgn or their raid off too.

3. we were closer to 50 than 100 people when we killed Aroon

Tua, you're right about the /as thing, what Tyka and I are discussing is what was said in sends, we talked AFTER I announced on /as again that the raid was BACK ON. I never once told Tyke that I was not coming to Galla, quite the oppsite actually, I told him that we would not go in and kill their mobs, but take our own. I can understand where you would be confused by this, but I never told Tyka I was not coming to Galla.
Well, I have a rl to attent to and I won't be back untill tomorrow or the next day. Have fun flaming me untill I return, I do so look forward to a laugh when I log on again!

and yes FFA raids can be good too (but more chance of ppl not listening to orders ;/ )


If arguments like this keep going on inter-realm then how are we ever gonna kill the final boss :x
