Ragnarok overrated?

Ragnarok is defenetly not a winner imo among the "behind" styles, which I have been told since I brought my warrior to life.

Lv. Style Name: Fat. Dam. Atk. Def. Opening Requirement Special

Axe
15 Evernight L M M - Behind Target is Bleeding

Hammer
29 Conquer L H - -H Behind Target is Hindered

Sword
50 Ragnarok M M M -L Behind Target is Slowed



Evernight also allows a follow up style (arctic rift) with high damage and you get to use it surprisingly often in RvR. With high quickness mutliply hits will occour even in groups using /assist command etc.

Same with hammer which has a very powerfull followup style.

So why all the fuzz about Ragnarok? It even has defense penalty and medium fatigue cost.

well its best lvl 50 style in mid...? (sucks mucho if u compare too annilation etc tho :D)

Tyr's Fury (50 Axe style) owns IMO...makes big hole in Albs :).

ragnarok cant be compared to tyrs fury since ragna is for use behind target = many pplruns away from you in RvR? how often do you stand still in RvR.. enemy tanks runs away from you not standing still in front of you.. all tanks who knows how a healer looks like in RvR go for that one.. not said that its the best style but i like the looks of a sword better then hammer/axe thats the only reason that i chose it.

The only good thing about sword spec is the simplicity .. 2 style's needed for rvr, hammer is 3 and axe is like 250 ;)

no, actacully i think ragnarok is more effective, because evernight is so f*ing gimped :p (and hammer is a gimp damage table so)

Which uses less end than a Slam and does considerable damage so this is my preferred Behind Target style.

Ragnarok for me is not a fortehwill style, it seems to be just the stupid albs that think it is ... and that's cos they moan about everything Midgard has :)

my skald has it... n show out pretty nice damage...

n it just require u to be behind ;P maybe lazy

but good style... easy to deal mmm n on a good armour table ;P

im not used to ss my kill but ive seen lot ov ss here on bw bout ragnarok with 500/600 damage on it...

what i deal is pretty near to that =)

n in 1.63 stare style will be fixed... so... face this

if u enamy is running away chase him from benind... damage him good n snare his flee

=)

attakers speed decrease had a different delve some times ago...

but hinderen has nothing to do with snare =)

or maybe they changed all =) without telling me anything =)

Hindered is snared, Slowed is attack speed debuffed afaik.

Ragnarok backup Polar Rift > Conquer backup Provoke >> Evernight backup Plague

Sword has the most damaging combo.
And chains suck in group (assist) RvR.


Stop judging only from style stats on herald, get growth rates instead.

raganarok is lower by 4 respect axe n hammer 50 style

Seriously hammer is the superior weapon, low fatigue moves, good damage and snareing from behind style (1.62 inc).

Yep hammer has nice styles, but gimp damage table.

While slash has bonus on scale (hib tanks + support, except bard) and is neutral on Albion, crush is gimped vs most key classes: druid, warden, cleric, minstrel and got bonus on alb tanks, stealthers, friar and bard.

As a 2h savage you really need the snare, besides styledmg is poo anyways, more important to be able to hit them etc
Warriors have slam and can pick PF so no need for a snarestyle there really.

Thats how I see it :)

As a savage you dont need snare if you assist a PF zerk or an warrior.

And I don't know how good is snare working in the next patch, as we know that it breaks when target takes damage (read: from the tank(s) assisting you).

And as I said: if you assist you dont need it anyway.

I am still hoping that savages will receive PF.
