Just saw the Rage against the Machine - Sleep now in the Fire music video in the pub. Did they actually do the gig on wall street or was it just a gimmic video?

Great vid, great band. Shame de la Rocha left, altough I think he has an album out soon.

Made a good point of putting their politics across with their music, and meaning it.

First album was a stroke of genius.

Each album after that got progressively worse, until they had nothing good about them at all. No shame in them splitting: they were going massively downhill with every release.

Their first album was mildly good but their 'Radical Consciences' made me chuckle really.

First album was excellent.

Evil Empire was alright but sounded exactly the same as the first.

Battle of Los Angeles was poor and sounded exactly the same as the first.

Repeat til bored of all Rage albums sounding the same as the first.

Audioslave > Rage imo. More variation in one CD than Rage managed in one decade.

Mmm, both are also terrible past the first album. The Manics/RAtM comparisons continue!

I'd like to compare RATM with my bell end.

At first it was shiny and new, now it is somewhat jaded and soon it is about to be split.

Da dah.

Bought the first rage album thought it was top, never bothered with any of the others. I've liked generation terrorists (top), Gold Against the soul (very good) and This is my.... (ok). Dunno why but never like everything must go enough to buy it. I keep forgetting about the holy bible.
