It is silly but its a touchy and sensationalist subject in the UK at the moment and the opinion forming media have jumped on it.

He basically called anyone who has issues with immigration a bigot, she didn't say anything that a hell of a lot of people aren't also saying, regardless of whether they have a point or not. She wasn't racist in any way and she is not a bigot. She called foreign people foreign.

Maybe we should start calling them ethnically challenged? Country of origin diverse? Maybe some of our more limp members can think of something to call foreigners other than... foreign.

As an aside, there are loads of Poles in Northampton. They are more likely to hold the door open than your average local...They came here to work, that was the entire point of them coming here, far to many lazy Brits looking for someone to blame because they got shit canned due to better workers willing to do their job.

However, it does cast a light on Gordon Brown's ability not to be emotionally-driven.

I watched the whole interview with the woman and she was hardly the "disaster" or the "bigot" that Brown mouthed off about. In fact, she was quite reasonable for your average retard.

Not really, by using the figures you did you are inferring that the majority of Poles are lazy layabouts.

And while this may not be literature, good English is vital for mutual intelligibility in communication. If your point was misconstrued from your intentions, this is largely due to the lazy method of communication you used.

I agree, the media has way too much power on opinions of the "every man". Shame really, but doubt there's anything we can do to fix it.

I again agree, it does show him as emotional, but also, doesn't it make him look like more of a human?

I would rather vote for a person who speaks his mind without thinking of the news worth of it, then a person who only thinks about what they say so they can win.
