There's a difference between highlighting the view that there are too many immigrants working in this country, and hating those immigrants. Without knowing her personal views I think its only fair to assume good faith on her part.

She was in no way "ranting", she was expressing an opinion that seemed pretty reasonable - she was complaining about high immigration from eastern europe .

Wrong or right she wasn't being in your face angry, unreasonable or speaking in any way that could be described as a rant.

It seems like by the definition you posted that Brown is the bigot - blindly ( geddit? ) intolerant of the womans opinion on immigration.

In no way was she bigoted, Brown was just upset that his media people had made him answer some questions the country actually wants answered. I'm surprised he didn't beat his staff to death in the car.

Oh ffs. What's wrong with complaining about high levels of immigration? There clearly has been a problem, because the government have been forced to move back from their open door policy to imposing a points-based system. There's nothing racist or bigoted about complaining about immigration, it's attitudes like yours that ensure that no politician wants to discuss it.

Winky thought it was a disaster only because for once, he was presented with an actual member of the public and not some Labour party member designed to make him look good. This whole episode exposes the fallacy of the modern general election tour, and the private thinking of a man who really couldn't give a shit about anyone or anything but his own career.
