So I got my PS3 a while back, picked up F1 2010 and GT5.
I played F1 2010 for about 20 minutes before it bored me, and got stuck into GT5.

Oh the pain of heavy cars being heavy

I got frustrated with the twitchy controllers, so sacked up and got a Driving force GT wheel and holy sheeeeeet, F1 2010 has gone from being a boring shitty game to being AWESOME and GT5 is pretty effin good. ( £85 quid from argos, it's a steal ).


I picked up Dirt 3 as well.

Anyone else plonking around on such games and/or any really good racing games I might be missing?

Burnout Paradise is worth a go, free on PSN+ (you should get a month free in the welcome pack) so you can try out the full game

GRID is okish, i can't say i got all that hooked personally

Motorstorm is more arcadey but fun online

Got wipeout, it would be amazing but there is no wheel comparability

Hell yes, the games are just different games completely when you go from controller>wheel.

keep on meaning to import ID on ps3 never got round to it. it was sweet on ps2.

also one of the very reasons ive painfully not thouched gt5 at all is becuase i dont have space for a wheel atm. :/

I have a driving force GT, it clamps to the desk quite nicely.

Id is loltastic physics though, ridge racer 7 is more realistic

Muchos fun doing GT5 with friends though, seeing who can set fastest laps.

Remember how much driving games changed for me when I got the official 360 wheel the feedback in that thing is impressive. Makes driving games exciting to play as you fight with the steering round corners on some crappy cheap car you got in Forza or glide round them in an expensive Ferrari. Though in Dirt my driving for a lot worse with the wheel, had to relearn how to drive in that game, as I was flying off cliffs as a past time.

Anyone playing F1 2011? Big upgrade on F1 2010, still missing a couple of tricks for me but a great game. The racing is fantastic, I've had some real edge of the seat racing so far and Ive only had it a couple of days so far!

I have F1 2011 but havn't managed to get much playtime yet.

Graphics aren't very good on the consoles, at times can be hard to see where your going and really needs more AA. If you've got a top spec PC it'll look amazey though.

Well I have been playing on the Xbox 360 and mainly playing multiplayer over the weekend, its a very good game spoilt by idiots who seem to think F1 is dodgems.
