race differences?

helloes everybody, a question regarding the races.

i am currently beta testing, and i know i will be rolling a guardian. however i find it pretty tricky and difficult to customize a face so it will look nice.
Since i found the customisatoin options each race pretty limited it looks like i want a cimmerian, and no aquilonian for my guardian.

however, reading up on the race, the cimmerians are ment to be somewhat tribal and stuff... while the aquilonians are ment to be of a somewhat... roman character?

i like those fancy roman armor thingies, and i'll want them on my guardian. i was wondering if maybe the armor i wear will have different looks depending on the race?

and also, i don't know if there are any differences in abilitys, stats or what so ever? because basicly you can make those races look almost the same. Or what is the point in having different races.

To be honest - after being an AOC scholar for a few years now the only thing that I know separates the various races in AOC are:

- looks (body and face)
- class choice
- various other dialogue options

It seems stats and abilities are linked to your class, race is besides that.

Yep.

Classes has race restrictions, like Stygians being the ony race who can become mages.
Stats are class bound on this subject race is just for the looks and the different dialogue scripts on some quests.

- Cimmerian: the northern savages
- Aquilonia: the developed empire
- Stygia: oldest race 'ala Egypt
