heh not FH, but my job.
Ok, that inheritance thing has made me think about things - alot. I decided to quit my job today. Nope, not done it yet. The contract ends in Feb 1 2008. We got a recession to hit us in a few weeks which means it's going to be real hard to find work anyway. I am unhappy that all I do all day is punch in numbers when I know I am capable of so much more. It's nice to be in a position to do so as I have cash to fall back on.
My reasoning is this, if I quit now I can use the time to find a better job with a longer contract. If I sit it out, then I might run the risk of not getting a job for quite some time. I have no kids, I live alone so the only one who is gonna get hurt is me.
Yep, I have considered the fact that I might not get a job during the time I am going to use to find a better one. But given what I said, I am doing a dead end job with no prospect of gaining further employment from it.
What's your take? You decide.
