Right.

installing software thats about 4 years old is a mistake. i realise this now. Trying to install Acacia's Revise Series has installed Apple Quicktime version 2.................and now my movies wont play.



how do I change it so that "Quicktime" version 5 is default?

Add/Remove Programmes, unistall BOTH of then, then reinstall QT5.

Indeed, use of Add/Remove programs is advised, but also remember to remove program folders that may have stayed.

Quicktime is quick to make itself your default media player if you arent careful. Tis okay for movies but not my fav app.

Isnt this techy or have I come into the wrong room?....Walks backwards and reenters..ooo er.

Quicktime is good for viewing the trailers on the apple site - but shitty for anything else

Aye, the Wazz is right, for playing and nothing else, Media Player 6.4 is the don. Full screen controls of WMP for XP and general betterness make it my current favourite though (I know you can do full screen controls in 6.4 but they're, well... shit).

I use the old bastard version of WMP for playing moveis and stuff (version 6.2)


I use QT to view my lego films and trailers
