Quickness on mincers?

Thoughts?


gonna be a mincer in group with scouts/infils, and im wondering if I should go for max frontload or not?

evade 2 etc, is it worth capping quick?

bored of midgard and normal rvr





my sc-config btw, w/o quick, and no sc'ed instruments, and only +slash on wpn/shield incase of respecc to thrust after style review.

I believe quickness helps a bit with evade chances, so you do want it up with your sc template.
The template floating around from the VN boards (33.5/28 on each item) only uses +slash on the helmet, sword and shield, so not too big a deal to chance that (helmet being pretty cheap).
Not sure on the damage difference with +75 quickness and without it so cannot help you there.

Er if your gonna be a frontloading minstrel then 43 slash would have been the best option but considering you'll be grouped with scouts/infs then I assume you'll be going for the 30 stealth. Might aswell cap qui if you can fit it in, let mercfiltrators and scout bows do the serious damage.

evade is your only defence and u aint gonna be 2-shotting anyone with a mincer ^^ so cap qui.

or just swap the stats on helm with gloves/boots and pay even less :p 150g for chain boots or gloves ?

two best specs for minstrel = 50/30/30 ... or 50/44 ( slight autotrain) tho latter is mainly pure group spec ( not stealth group obviously)

i thought evade was 50% dex 50% qui? and a fully buffed mincer hasnt got bad defense at all....

cap it if you can spare the points imo

your DD's will do substantial damage .. so max your defense

doh, and there was me thinking that a thread involving glottis in wouldnt of contained that exact joke about him when he tries to be sensible, like it has every other time hes posted a helpful topic :rolleyes:


As for quickness mate, I'd highly recommend capping it if possible; capping your evade chance with no loss of damage 'over time' is worth it

Increase quickness gonna decrease your cap damage and you get advantage doing it ,in terms of damage output,only after a certain number of swings.
Since you are not a tank you aren't supposed to spend all your time hitting stuff,as mincer you have loads things to do:that 'll prolly force you to interrupt your fights,switch targets,mezz , demezz,etc.. that risk to give you a certain delay in your fights,restarting your swing timer outside combat.

But instead to ask in Bw I would Pm a proper Mincer :)


p.s. you wont evade much.if you espect to evade to save your ass..roll an infiltrator:p

thx for the help, still not decided yet though, but im leaning towards cap quick if i can fit it.

i got dodger 3 on syri, though most would probably say it's ott, i like it cause it gives me enough evades to solo some diamond mobs in df, and is pretty decent for rvr too.
for quickness, i'd suggest not to cap it, but certainly don't ignore it. just put a bit of bonus in there to quick.

I did, then some mates and me decided to try out the final aspect of rvr, stealthwars :eek:


if this sucks, i aint gonna be back till ToA, do the Ml's for my 6-7 lvl 50's :puke: and go inactive till Rvr-expansion
