Quick SB questions...

I have a Shadow Blade who is currently Lvl 15. She is my first ever stealther in any realm, so it's a bit of a learning process at the moment.

Before I rolled I had a quick look about and decided that I'd like her to be a Shadow Zerker. So, her stats are presently:

Axe: 15
LA: 14
Envenom: 3

I am auto-training stealth.

I'd eventually like her to end up with 50 Axe and 50 LA, with whatever else in the most important stats, which neatly brings me to my questions ;)

1. How high should I auto-train stealth? I'd like to play her in BG1, and if I do, will my stealth be good enough at that point? I appreciate other stealthers may own me in this area, but as long as it's good enough so I am not visible to them from miles away I'll be happy ;)

2. Should I bother with envenom at all, or just save up all my points and put into stealth when I ding Lvl 24?

stealth: 38 ( with autotrain it will go to 50..I think )
axe: 39

well if you wanna extreme shadowzerk, make smth like
axe 50
la 44 (dont need more imo, youre not a zerk)
stealth 35-36 (can even lower it, will be like a bait for infils)
venom rest (27-29)

you can auto till 24, then bump stealth, then at 40 lvl respec out of stealth and auto till 48. this trick will give you 43 points

1. Personally I advise you auto-train stealth to as higher level as possible. BG is only a temporary fight zone and if you're in for the long haul you might want to set your sights further ahead. If you do continue to auto-train, then your stealth will be poor for BG. Though I'm sure you could find ways to compensate for this.

2. I think nowadays having anymore than 35 or 36 base stealth is a waste as you can easily take stealth to 50 with items and rr. (mine is currently 33 base + 16). Envenom is useful for a SZ but again with items, SC etc. you won't ever have to take this past lvl 35.

I would suggest after lvl 24 you continue to auto-train stealth and place your points in either maximising your weapon skills or raising your envenom level if you intend to solo more than group.

One other quick question - if I do decide to continue to auto-train stealth, and still go BG1, will I be able to sneek up on any casters without being seen?

I appreciate other stealthers or stealth based classes will see me, but is Stealth at Lvl 5 or 6 good enough to get me close enough to casters to kill them?

I'm a five-spec shadowblade and I autotrained stealth to level 48. I ended up with:

39 left axe
39 axe
34 crit strike
34 stealth
33 envenom

Works for me.

With autotrained stealth in BG1 you will have stealth 5 and +5 from magical items. With 10 stealth versus a level 24 character it is possible to sneak up on him, but pretty difficult if the guy is very aware. I managed fine in BG1 with auto-trained stealth.

i been messing with some specs.
atm i was thinking of this spec

stealth = 36
envenom = 27
crit strik = 50
left axe = 44 (thinnking of LA to help incase CS fails).


back to my point would that spec i chose be any good ???
im also auto training stealth to 48.

info much appreciated thanks...

lvl 32 atm with
axe = 32
cs = 32
stealth = auto
envenom = 10

This spec won't work very well. Without points in weapon spec (sword or axe) your crit strike and left axe damage will be fuck-all. :]

If you put the points assigned to LA in your suggested spec into Sword instead then that would work...I think you'd then be a Soul Blade spec SB...I think :)

with a bit of messing, what would u think about this.

stealth = 35
CS= 39
LA = 44
sword = 39

rest in envenom

p.s i know alot of peeps say get decent envenom but i aint bothered about that tbh.

As a SZ IMHO your gimped if don't have the lvl 47 debuff. I hade 50Axe/44LA on Runolas and compared to 46Axe/44LA + lvl 47 debuff it sucked.

I think the best overall SZ base-spec is 46Axe/44La/33ST/33EN/10CS
If you autotrain (I lvled as CB :eek7: and did not), dump those points where you like them. At RR6 if you get a respec-stone you could respec to 31-32ST/31EN and dump the point into Axe. If you did autotraining for 43 points, then you can make 46Axe/44LA/31ST/31EN/21CS or at RR6. If you did full auto to lvl 48, then 50Axe/44LA/31EN/31ST/12CS is duable :) , but I think I'd go for 21CS.

Even with my BSII (11CS)I do like 300-600 on a mage. For Tanks I use Snowsqual most of the time.
