Quick Price question

Hey

Can I just ask what kind of prices most Lgm SCers charge nowadays. I'm close to Lgm SC myself and want to make sure that I don't end up ripping people off.

people highly overrate sc, so people are often willing to pay alot more than 200% of costprice, decide ur self, i didnt say i charge this as many tells me im cheaper than others, i wonder who charges enormeous amounts of gold, since i earned what i spend getting lgm.

Its not the cost of the materials that the price is supposed to for, its that fact that spellcrafting a full suit takes a good couple hours to do, and that isnt just hitting one retry button and the occasional trip to the merchant. Thats also the reason an awful lot of spellcrafters dont take take non-guild orders any more, because the time spent making the gems is never anywhere near as profitable as the same time farming for gold. Anyway, I digress..

I only ever charge what it cost me to make and leave the tip up to the customer. This way you dont have to be loaded to afford what I have heard some SC's charge. Now this is not a price strategy if you want to make a lot of money, but it does give you the satisfaction of being able to help as many people as possible.

There are people who will try to rip you off (Keppy for example) and there are real wonderfull people who just want to help out.

I usualy offer 150% of SC value (becouse I calculated it all out, etc and there is no overcharge). And if they where nice (as most are) I give a nice 100% tip. So they get about 250% of SC cost.

i normaly charge cost 100% and abiout 200g per hour works out about 1.7-2p for a 7 pice imbue as it takes about 3-4 hours to make all the 995 jewels needed.
also depends on the jewels lvl you use in your sc set up if you use alot of perfect 28 stats jewels then price goes up

LOL - Keppy SCed my minstrel for 600 gold. All overcharged and took him about 4 hours.

That guy really knows how to rip you off - LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scared he will take your business ? Looks like somebody is getting owned in the business market !

keppy is not a rip off merchant, just one misunderstanding.

I quote 250g per item for 5pt o/c (4x99), if I get a good run or use 3x99 1x98% gems I charge a bit less (most peeps would rather pay full whack and have me use 4x99).

Prices does not incude enchanting, I charge 75% npc for that.

I make 100% profit max, if I am lucky I make 1p for 3-4hrs work (8x4x99), not counting the advice and checking on templates.

I can make more money seal farming in df with less boredom.

For non o/c (random gem qual) jobs I do @ cost * 2, but those are mostly bg suits and I maybe make 50-100g a suit.

SC prices are a moot point owing to the fact that each template is different. If I am asked to do a trifocus staff which has max OC points with 4th gem then it costs a bloody packet owing to the fact that the top tier gems are so bloody dear. Generally I will charge 250 per item ( this includes the retries ), and if it is a BG suit then I will charge per gem ( usually around 50-80 gold depending on the number of items ). This means that my profit margin varies a great deal. I have made up to 1.9 plat profit but also made only 500 gold. The profit made does not reflect the fact that SCing is time consuming and requires a great deal of concentration.

I have only ever had 1 complaint about my prices, when I explained that it would take at least 2 hours to make all the gems required, the person accepted my prices as fair.

As long as you dont blatently rip people off , I have heard quotes of 4 plat for a suit, you will be fine.

Don't be put off if people query your prices, I will never make anything for people who are arguementative, I would sooner let another crafter have that aggro!!

Farm df for about 20-30 hours and make ur own lgm sc =)
