How much can i get in the different resists together whit my gems and neckie, rings, armour, is there a cap?

SCing my armour so i need to know. Whit my stuff and armour made by a SC calculator i get:
Thrust 34
matter 24
heat 27
body 35
slash 28
chrush 29
cold 27
spirit 22
energy 27

Can i get this much % or is it a cap...or is it based on my race?

Im a Briton, minstrel 50.

Would be happy for answer, havent played the game that long...

most resist from items (that would be your SC'ed armor) is 26%

To calculate your max resistances you gotta do:

Level Char / 2 + 1%

Each race has it's own default resistances. (I don't know em by head but let's take a Briton example):

Spirit 5%
Crush 2%
Thrust 3%

This resistance is a bonus (because of race). So if you are lvl 50 you get:

50 / 2 + 1 => 26 % + Race Resistances (so 5% spirit more: 32%, 2% crush more: 28% and 3% thrust more: 29% total, rest all 26%). This is ofcourse if you have Spellcrafted your stuff to the max. The enhancement resists buffs come on top of these and so does Avoidance of Magic Realm Ability.

On top of that different races have different modifiers

Sounds like you need a spellcraft calculator, I use this one:-

Youll need to enter all your items, then you can click on 'distance to cap' to see how close you are to capping all those important stas/reists. Might seem like a hassle, but theres really no quicker way to design your spellcraft kit.

Some people actually enjoy doing their own templates although i can see you make like it as its a suprise! ...
