Question to NP etc?

But to answer the original poster's question: Personally I play games I like! :x Guild Wars wasn't my thing (movement, classes, interface, and the way that the game is setup) and the base gameplay of WoW is perfect for me! I think most people in Nolby feel that way :>
I play TFC (and hldm and q3a less seriously), just because how it plays and feels ;x I won't be playing CS, UT or Halo (2), because for me those games don't have the right feel / speed / gameplay. I like WoW!
Also, in WoW there are alot of competitive guilds, but alot of those guilds are going Horde, so Xanatea is just asking for undecided guilds to go alliance :s I don't think anyone fears that there'll be no competition. At least, I think there will be.

It was not meant to flame NP why they compete in a rpg game,, I seen your movies and you play outstanding. I also think its admirable to keep so high standard true all these years.
What gets me abit confused Is not why compete in rpg game, its that some of you (Xanatea for example) complains that rest of the rpg players is not up to his standards. Its abit like Arsenal plays in div 4 Götaland in soccer, and complains nobody is as good as them
My guess would be this:
They are "gamers", they play " computer games"
My definition of a computer game is something that I think is fun to play, this has various reasons but mostly its about friends, excitement, community and competition (and naked ladies)
Because of that, I dont define Fifa 200X as a computer game, or a game at all, its NOT fun, its NOT exciting, and the community is full of soccer-retards. In my opinion the fifa games are digital pain simulators.
Now, when i decide that this is something i want to spend X hours on playing any given day, im looking for relaxation, excitement/fun and playing with my friends.
Even though its no doubt that NP players in general are a smidge more competitive then average joe schmoe, they are still concerned about the fun part.
Bottom line, NP plays MAINLY for their definition of fun, THEN for the competition. (I rule out the "friends" part, because NP seems to sync what they play mostly)
No point spending XX hours a week on a game that you hate playing, even if you are pretty good(as was my case with cs)
I played CS pretty seriously from release till about summer 2000, that was because I got all three out of that. But after an intense period of cs playing in 2000, i lost 2 of those. I still had my friends playing, but I had just played it too much. It was too boring, the community was starting to go rapidly downhill and well, its not that it wasnt any competition anymore, but it was less and less.
This curve(except the competition part, never been as good in a game as i was in cs) is something that eventually comes with every game i guess.
Say what you want, but if a game aint fun to play, its gonna take alot of convincing(beer/ladies/poker) to get me to dedicate any time to it.
Even if I was the one spoken of in Fifa prophecy as the one who would annihilate all opposition and rule the champions league unopposed it would take PERVERSE amounts of the three reasons mentioned above to get me to touch it with anything but a torch.

Making a thread bout some guild who u don't even know(lets forget the part that u dont even know them irl) is just really sad.
