if anyone noticed Mobs have high HP and low attack damage.

a red/high orange mob hits around the same as a yellow tank DPS wise

all they have to do is increase player HP and increase Mob damage or decrease Player damage and decrease Mob HP

but it would take a while to change all the mob stats,

Ok. For me, when buffed in RvR, I have over 1600 hps. And, since nobody (except perhaps a crit from an archer - if I'm not moving or engaging) can take me down in less than 5 hits. And then, they'd have to be like Greggor - L50 Impaler ( ;) ) or a mage that I can't get to with nukes...but let's leave mages out for now.

In pure melee, I'm pretty sure that there are few people that will outdammage a troll warrior. Even dwarf/norse warriors will not do the damage of a troll, strength is key.

I have oneshot killed many casters. I can oneshot kill an orange caster, and could (When they were still red) come VERY close to one-shotting red-con casters. Psi was L48 and me L40 when I dropped him from full to <10%.

Take Mallevolencia and my exchange in Yggdra. I was 44, she was 41. A mere 3 levels difference between two melee classes. She was hitting me for between 100 and 120. I hit her once for 480, and then a second time with a crit for 750. She died. Now, when I used to let Greggor and the lads prod me, they'd do around 300 to 350. And I'd match them for that quite easily, sometimes outdamaging them. I never got to kill them because 100% of the time I was outnumberred and they had stunners, mezzers and healers. Come Darkness Falls, fear the troll warriors.

Now you may see this as bragging, I don't. Because in RvR a troll warrior is a nice big RP target. I died so much it's not funny. People see you and pounce on you. I did have the pleasure once of storming through a MG, through 7/8 Higher level hibbies and managing to target their Lurikeen caster. I didn't even get to see the graphic of my blow...he died instantly...made it kinda worthwhile. ;)

me being a lv44 2h slash pala using my epic wepon i cap out on grey mobs for 506dmg(last time i checked) with Doubler style, i find it almost impossible to hit my dmg cap on green or blue mobs.

in rvr i waste a grey caster with the exact same cap as grey mobs, around 506ish. dmg on most greens is in the 300-400s, blues and yellows vary alot, can be anything from 400 to less than 100 sometimes.no heres a silly bit, a orange con dwarf zerker can be hit by me for around 200 each swing, silly i know. then we go onto the red cons, and lv50s, thanes are a pain =P i hit em for about 90 -120, thats if im still alive to hit em, cant comment on casters never get in range, but i know i can hit a hunter for around the 170mark.

as for dmg i take, it has reduced dramatically from lvl 40 to 44. at 44 with my own buffs and mostly yellow/orange armour cept for my green legs =( i have 726AF maybe higher i cant remember. i can take about 2hits from a lv50thane with a 2h hammer, 3 if im lucky, and i get crit'd by hunters for 600ish, with the follow up shots clockin at about 330, if the follow up shots get chance to hit me, god bless engage ;o)

ill get some more numbers for ya's soon

To many changes could kill the game

I used to play a card game, "Magic the Gathering" and Wizards of the coast constantly changed the rules and banned cards and so on in the end all the old school players got fed up and stopped playing.

I just hope the same thing does not happen here i love DAOC

Regarding Pointless's(pinvan :D ) remarks, i know my dmg cap is around 400, not entirely sure. I ran into a yellow con elf caster once, hit for 510 and 430 dmg, dropped him in 2 hits. I was stunned even by my awesome armsmen power ..... mwahahahaha ! (note: with my cool Bardiche of Retribution :) )

So RvR dmg isnt capped like PvE dmg is - and everything dies much much easier. Makes for depressing circumstances when im trying to kill those pesky rockhead trolls :)

No. I think you're wrong. I've killed green to red in my time (and one poor Grey that I was orderred to because it was a Realm keep raid, and the poor Hibbie Enchanter was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. :( ) And I've hit my damage cap against them all. I do over 500 damage to cloth wearers, regardless of level, and I do between 350-500 against armour wearers...dependent on level.

So yeah, you do get capped, IMO.

im a 40 warrior and i dont know my dmg cap but i have huge amounts of hp and str with shaman buffs (maby not huge to you but to me)
i have about 1350-1400 hp with buffs and about 270-280 str with buffs.

but i always fear them damm archers when im in rvr so i dont use my 2h but i got a 16.2 dps 2.4 spd axe 1h to use so it makes me feal a little safer =)

You shouldn't compare mobs to RvR. The monsters you fight usually have many times the number of hp's that an enemy of the same 'colour' has.

Colour mens relative level. It doesn't say anything about strength. ;)
