I'm in my 2nd year (which is meant to be your final year) of 6th form right now, and due to alot of messing around, etc, I will only finish with 1 A level and 1 As level. Due to this I'll probably stay on for another year and take up more courses. Either 2 more As levels, or take a lesson which will allow me to complete an A level in 1 year (Which I'm not sure is possible, but the teacher may allow it.)
I'm hoping to still go to uni, but probably not until next year. Basically I was wondering if this is possible. I'd probably be a year older than everyone else, and I'd only have 2 A levels and 2 As levels...I believe the minimum requirement is 3 A levels, but is there any chance of getting in without the exact requirements? I really want to go to uni this year, but its my own fault for screwing up. Since I got my result for the exam I retook (went from a U to a B) I've decided to actually try my hardest and grow up. I can make something of my life if I really try, even though I've wasted ages already.
Has anyone stayed on a 3rd year at 6th form? I imagine its probably quite humiliating being in a class of people 2 years below you. Is it possible to complete a 2 year (As and A level) course in 1 year?
Cheers.
