Question about EU Servers

Hello:
Just a couple of questions:
1.- I am on the 14 day trial of DaoC and would like to choose an EU server, however I just get the Non EU servers on the list. Did I miss an option or something?

Ok I am new to forums and hope to hang around more.

You could be playing the American version, do any of the server names on this (lower right hand side) Website sound familiar?

Another thing I just remembered (I think, perhaps somebody could confirm it for me) is that the 14-day trail takes place on a seperate server which is inependant of the normal ones. I think it's called Loth-something?

A friend of mine has the same problem. He doesnt want to go spend £20 buying DAOC because it might not be for him, yet he cant even the trial the game with me because of this.

Hence he will probably never subscribe. Great promotion ideas there

If you got the trial from FilePlanet it's only for the American servers. There are two companies that run DAoC servers. Mythic (who also develop the game) who run the American servers and Goa who licence the game from Mythic and operate the EU servers.

The Fileplanet thing is between Mythic and Fileplanet so it only includes US servers. There is a free trial for Euro servers. Get a friend who plays to invite you from the subscription pages of the official Goa site and, not only do you get a week free, your friend gets extra days of playtime for free if you subscribe afterwards.

Yes. The two versions are different and the subscriptions are to different companies. If you have a US copy of the game you can't create a Euro account as the CD key won't be recognised by our system and the same goes for trying to use a Euro version to create an American account.

I guess i was wrong. I apologise for the sarcasm in my post before then, and i thank you for pointing this out as my mate can now try daoc out with me

found that out too late, made a character upto level 49 than wanted to upgrade the free trial version to TOA, couldnt get a US version shipped over to the UK. Had to scrap the character and start again.
