Question about documents (related to my char bg story)

I have just finished writing the Kemencuive, the background story for my characters, however I have a problem. atm its as a msword document, and its 10 megs.

suggestions of a way to publish it? was gonna try find abode acrobat, might be on one of the uni networked computers *shrugs* how much can abode compress a file?

dunno exactly but try to get a Adobe Acrobat Writer to create a pdf file. perhaps it helps

10 mb?

is there a lot of graphical content?

10mb would suggest that the story was about 500 pages long lol

I know MS Word adds a lot of its own guff to files but not that much lol

adobe will copmress the doc ( me thinks bout 30% usually) but thats not really gonna help you

maybe limit your use of fonts etc to just 2

i heard WinWord automatically converts the pix into BMP which causes the filesize explosion - dunno if it's solved in recent versions

there are 2 large images and around 4 smaller images, so that probably adds a lot
as for the fonts, theres only one font used throughout
as for length, its around 18000-19000 words iirc, when i printed with the main body of text at 14pts it took 56 pages (i made the printer do 2 pages a sheet, and printed on both sides, took 14 sheets of paper in all
