If they don't improve things substantially then they will loose out hugely. The game still lacks graphically, but after all it is 3 years+ old now, the engine is aging badly, look at the textures in the classic zones and even in the si zones, then compare it to those in nf/toa/catacombs.

The original plan with Catacombs was to give all the classic zones a serious make-over with new textures etc, but I think they just ran out of time while trying to get it out for Xmas in the US. Some if not all of the classic zone mobs have been re-worked, though. Looking at new MMOs like EQ2 though, I think Catacombs-era DAOC is certainly its equal in graphical quality; most of the feedback I've seen about Catacombs has been positive.

Well, it would be a waste of money if GoA had to buy a new server, Mythic's co-op ruleset (and server, which would need to be customized to fit the european game/servers, thus longer patch times..) if 37-pages worth of people would 'try' it and then decide they don't like it. Pfah.

How about a fee for access to the co-op server?

population on regular servers is low enough, how do you think it would be if co-op servers were added? very little on the co-op server and even regular server population would decrease even more considering 10-20% from regular servers would move co-op...

There is a huge difference. Anyway im ranting on here, essentially give mythic a chance to fix things or just leave, no use whining about it over and over again on the forums.

How does the game lack grapically? compared to other mmo's ive played and seen on screens i concider daoc still a high end game especially with the TOA engine, And i suspect that the catacombs engine and graphic design will make my vidcard cry again
