::What we do? Where we at?
We have managed to expand the electrical capacity of the Student's Union Snackbar to
support over 100 people happily and allow us to keep the cost as low as possible for a
2-day, large LAN (probably the largest held in Ireland so far). The venue for QUBlan Xi is
the Queen's Student's Union, with it's two daytime bars (also host to Shine). It is just
off University Road, only half a mile from Europa/GtVictoriaSt Bus/Train Station, and only
a quarter mile from Botanic Train Station.
Directions for driving or bussing to it will be available here soon (currently there are
maps of our location in the local Belfast area):

Current sponsors for QUBlan Xi include http://www.overclock.co.uk and
http://www.everglide.co.uk - who will be supplying prizes for competitions and giveaway
items. Pizza Hut are also providing a discount system for us to organise at least one
large pizza order during the event.
We are currently in talks with other possible sponsors, and as always, you will be among the first to know on the forums
::Scantily Clad Equipment
There is free parking outside the QUB Student's Union building (there will
be plenty of tables available), with trolleys available for easier/safer transport of
your equipment. As always, we endeavour to have a high-speed two-tier network in place
before the 10:00am start time, for your ping-pleasure. Expected dedicated servers include
CounterStrike, UnrealTournament, Quake 3 Arena, and Battlefield 1942 (with more to be
added, including Soldat http://www.soldat.prv.pl ).
::Tournament Breakfast
We also plan to have a number of tourney competitions, particularly as QUBlan is
registered as a WWCL LAN League affiliate
Currently we are only hosting WWCL CounterStrike tournaments for 2v2 and 5v5, although we
will let you know if this is expanded to include their Quake 3, UT and Serious Sam league
tournaments. If you wish to participate in a WWCL competition tournament, you should
register for a WWCL Player or Clan ID
Due to the large number of people, and the amount of preparation needed, we advise that
you pre-book now to guarantee yourself a place.

Oh yes, this is a BYOPC event (in case anyone gets ideas
). Though I'm sure we could cobble something together for people who are stuck for a machine to use on the day, for a small fee... and PC in this case means any computer that supports network gaming, whether you are running Linux, MacOS or even AmigaOS... mmm.. QuakeWorld
