Quality in rings etc. what effect??

I know the meaning of quality factor in armor and weapons but how does quality affect jewelry, rings and belts for example? They seem to give the same bonuses promised regardless of the quality factor.

Just a bit of useless item information or what?

Only thing i notice is that the nearer an item is to 100% quality, the less durability loss on repairs.

If the condition [edit - I was confusing quality with condition ] of jewels, rings, bracers and cloaks goes below a certain percentage (80%? I'm not sure...) they stop working and you don't get the magical bonuses any more until the item is repaired by a smith or a crafter. What effect quality has, exactly, if any, has not been explained by Mythic - at least I couldn't find anything on their web site about it.

The quality of the item determins how effective it is, and how fast the item will be ruined, both when repaired, and when used. I do not know for certain, but i would assume the quality of the ring at this point only tells how fast the duration and condition of the item will drop.

I'm not completely convinced that higher quality reduces the rate at which DUR degrades. Although it is true that quest items with 100% quality seem to last much longer at 100% DUR than ordinary items, Sanya once wrote on the Herald that this was because quest items are secretly set with higher DUR - 125%, for example - so the item is in fact wearing out but you can't see it start to show until it finally gets to 99%. But there doesn't seem to be any clear documentation about it, maybe someone should write to Sanya and ask her to explain it in the Friday grab bag.

Im quite sure

I have made quite a few sets of 100 con, dur armor for my chars in the times, and i clearly see that the ones that is of the higher quality, degrades slower then the ones with lower quality, when used on the same char for a while.

Its not written as "TRUTH", but this is enought to convince me for the time beeing ,)

The condition can go down to 70% and not any lower. Then it won't work (not giving it's bonus). Not sure if it works for example on 75% or so but i think it do workk until it reatch 70%. I usually try to keep all my stuff at 100% though, just in case

I'm also pretty sure items with higher qua degrade slower, like my ranger with a 99% qua bow degrade slower than a lower qua bow...at least it seems so. Nut sure but I think thats how it is.
