I must say I haven't laughed so much in ages, you bastards I am trying to write a proposal and have been distracted for at least an hour reading this.

I must make a few comments though, you all talk about education like it is the bees knees. I do have a degree (Its in managment from Cardiff) but I realise that it is all about aptitude and ability rather than pieces of paper.

I employ people who have firsts from Cambridge that report to a guy with no o lovels or a levels let alone a degree.

Poor old GLyNN3RS and Slicer seem to be on the recieving end of a stick, but it is easy to ridicule children (especially illiterate uneducated ones), why don't you give them a break stop rubbing your success in their noses and let them fail in their own time.

I would also question people who brag about how successful they are? Is it a penis substitude lads?

Just remember money and wealth don't make you better than others! Ad for an 8k bonus who ever that was - I wouldn't brag about it.

Its not all about aptitude ya know. Should you get laid off, a Degree is a very useful tool to get you a job ahead of the next man. Its also a great tool in pay negotiations ("But I have Company X offering me this for my proven skillz in business, like it says on my first here!").

FYI I wasn't "bragging" about an £8k bonus, far from it, I was just answering a question posed by glynn3rs/sl1c3r (I have trouble telling them apart, must be something to do with the shared neuron). They post something saying "blah blah no jobs, no life, etc..." and when I quite reasonably retort with "Yes, I have a job" and pre-empting their no doubt hilarious "Can I have fries with that..." comments I told them roughly what was involved and roughly at what level I was at in the company (ie. not very high).

If I wanted to brag I would post up a picture of my car, or post copy of my payslip or scan in a picture of my cock against a ruler or something...it seems you are not adept at bragging, which is perhaps something in your favour.

You are correct, Money and Wealth do not make you better than others, but alas, it seems it is the criteria by which we were to be judged by glynn3rs/sl1c3r, so (maybe somewhat pavlovianly) I retorted.

I have no need for a penis substitute, although I shall not be posting dimensions - otherwise I will probably be pulled up for bragging again (see above).

You can have all the aptitude and ability in the world, but without some decent formal qualifications you're not even going to get a foot in the door of most companies, let alone get an interview (which is all a degree is good for).

Education may not be the "bees knees", but it *is* important (as many people sitting GCSE's and A-Levels at the moment will no doubt be aware).
