Nice pics, Qatar is quite nice in places. Just wish they would sort the damn airport out. The transition from old to new is taking way to long and the old airport is just a nightmare. Basically like Dubai was 15 years ago but catching up quickly. Hope you have nice time there.

You should have seen what it was like before the new emir took over. You are right though it is just like Dubai from fifteen years ago but it will be awesome in about another five as we have the advantage of learning from the mistakes Dubai has made (not that Dubai has made that many).

I will try and go out and about and get some more snaps of the buildings etc that are going up at some point and the view of the Corniche over here is awesome it is like a mini NY, well very MINI :D

**edit**

You will be waiting a loOoOng time for the airport to get sorted out they in the process of building a new one but wont be completed till 2012 i believe. Try travelling business class next time as iirc there is a seperate terminal for business class passengers, though it might just be for departures.

We had one in Dubai last December, 4 ft of water in places. Idiots trying to drive through it. LOL

Stayed at the Marriot and Sheraton on the Corniche but would be interesting in seeing the some of the new buildings going up.
