System Specs - p3 933, 128 Mb Ram, 37 Gb Hdd, GF2 mx
I am currently on modem (cable modem in 3 weeks), but I'm a Q3 web n00bie after playing hl + tfc for a while. Last night played a few rounds of Q3 ctf and was at 380-600 ping the whole time!!!, despite getting pings of about 270 when my game browser logged the server. I was by 200 the slowest, though thankfully to salvage some pride I didn't finish bottom of my team or overall.
Now with hl, there were some pretty sinmpe "ping fixes" that could be added in the form of an autoexec.cfg file into the appropriate directory. Is there a similar approach for Q3 ? If so, where can I get explanations or sample files ?
