well at least thats what the so called 'experts' believed...

He was doing bad at school and CS was his only hobby (according to the 'experts'), so he dressed up like a Counterterrorist (the 'experts' said) and blew random peoples heads off at school with a gun (and the same type is being used in CS too according to the 'experts'), then his own...

Then there was talk about 'banning' CS from germany, I dunno if this happend eventually, but its stupid they blamed the game...

Germany also banned Command & Conquer: Generals before it was even released, because it would give people the impression that "VIOLENCE IS THE ONLY WAY OF SOLVING PROBLEMS" uke:

(probably only because in the rather cheesy intro you hear a voice saying "in the modern world, great leaders solve their differences with words like: SCUD MISSLE.... CARPET BOMBING... TOMAHAWK MISSLE blah blah")

And I was under the impression that shooting yourself wasn't the brightest thing to do even in CS :/

afaik german rules for video games are very strict. for example you can shoot people in games unless they are re-skinned to look like zombies. (green blood etc)
and a few years ago I tried a copy of the first Commandos game, all the germans that you shoot are cencored, you see no blood, no corpse, just a pile of clothes and cross with a helmet hanging on it. And they also changed the nazi-flag to summin that loox like the norwegian flag in the game (altho its the flag for the german luftwaffe or smth)
