Well I'll play a SB and I guess I 'll have a hell of a time levelling.

But that's the char I wanna play at the moment and I play for pleasure. Been playing support chars and tanks enough, not too keen on casters atm and wanna try stealther for a change. Besides I'll be able to return the whine to all the shades who bugged me in hibernia while I was levelling and spam them senseless for xp groups

Hmm, maybe a runey or warden for bubble. Thing is...stun is god...runeys have no stun and wardens have no insta cc like druids...tum te tum te tum...

PvP server is all about who can put the best grp togther..... This grp can go on a killing spree for a very long time if they play there cards right.....

I hear steather classes dont get much joy...

archer classes and minstrals really struggle. and assasins do ok.

Bards are heavily sought after in grps, along with all the normal support classes....(nothing new their)

Im thinking Skald or Shadowblade/Infiltrator atm. Anyone who plays a pure tank wants there head looking at. Altho they prolly will be needed in xp/gank groups.

Any class that has some or prefferably all of these characteristics should do well I reckon:

Range
Speed
Mezz
Stun
Root/Snare
Nukes/DDs
Stealth

well im going to play a skald i think. either that or a healer with high pacify. maybe even a infil cos i was thinking because of most of the people that are going to play chanters wont know how to play them well for a bit cos most likely they are playing a new class.

sub just wondering how much hp do you have and do you have ip? when we found you and that kobbie in emain on sunday it took us about 2 mins to kill you solo lol and you droped 3 of us.
i have intercept on one of our mages and you beared up and i took a hit of about 640 lol.

Just some FYI stuff, had a lil chat with Zargar from GOA today, hes kinda in charge of the PvP server.
I played UO with him for a few years, he was one of the best pvp'ers, so he knows what the ppl want :]

anyways, heres some cut and paste from our lil talk.

Well, pvp will b a big messing up. There would b an huge guild (huge in numbers, prolly german ppl *cough*) that will own the 6 relics etc etc...

There would b a shitload of ppl rushing to 50 but at the end only THE ZERG will own... (sucks but its gonna happen like that)

me meself cannot play that much i did once... no 24/7 for lofff ever again (kinda pleased) so i wont b a rusher... will try an join sum nice players and mates from exca and play for fun... exping cleverly but not in a rush... (ofc might make a rushing week or sth if get time for it )

Well sure Sub I would let you go, if you were ever trying to go. I don't think I ever seen you running away from us though. Normally you can be found doing nasty things to one of my casters and saving the hamster treatment for me

Dwarf Seer - almost no downtime while soloing those yummy greens
Norsewoman Viking - 4 hammer, 3 parry - über template with a stun style and great defense
Luri Magician - get that 3 second stun off, baby! Also a great damage-shield
Celt Guardian - 4 blunt, 3 parry - even more über than the viking because of evade
Saracen Mage - full body spec for über-lifetap and a lethal dot

I was gonna play a full smite cleric until they got a big whack with the nerf bat

been looking at templates for mentalist:
10 moon, 45 sun, 28 ment gets u the best ae dd, single dd and cure mezz, and the first mana buff and heal buff, oh and charm.

However going high in moon instead is also tempting cus of the nice ae dot and mana crack.

If I hadn't already made a minstrel i might have gone for one, i been mucking about with charm these last few days, and i charmed a lvl 55 woodeworm (in lyonesse for the non-alb ppl) and tried to solo a lvl 59 cailieach guard with it, got her down to 70% hits then my pet died so i ran away

I tried a lvl 59 woodeworm, but only managed to charm it once before it killed me, however i only got 44 inst and +2 inst on the ellyll drum i had in my inventory. When flute of balefire is fixed i will put my last spec points in instruments (giving me 58 instruments with items and rr) and try a mindworm

P.s to the minstrel that don't know this, when u charm press the charm button as fast as u can, u get about 3 attempts per second, then when its charmed look out for resists, as soon as it does, spam the charm button again until it doesn't.

I don't think it's about leveling as fast as possible but about having fun whenever you log in and play.
I've seen way to many players fast leveling to 50 and then not knowing their way around in their own realm except for the powerlevel spots, fx. in Albion Goblins/Tanglers or not knowing how to play their class beyond XPing, that's sad, like having a Ferrari and not knowing how to drive it.

I've been playing enough hours with my main char to have 3 or 4 level 50 chars if I had concentrated on XPing all the time, BUT that's not why I play, I use much time on chatting, joking, exploring and so on, so I'm only level 47.
Off course a higher level fast on PvP-server will increase chances of getting out of combat alive and decrease how often you get killed.
Could be fun having a level 9 char though, being out in the battlefields taking screenies and not in danger of getting killed by the players who're fighting.
