PSP7 stupidity

Without wishing to get into a PSP - PS argument (PSP is all work will give me) I have a query.


I have a logo which is set against a white backing. How do I remove the white and make it transparent so the logo can be set on another image without having the whiteness?? so to speak?

Ive tried the magic wand, and it picks up the outline beutifully, but when I copy/paste a new image, all I get is the whiteness and not the logo

Help me.......Im rubbish.
