Hey all,
Recently I was looking for an MP4 player, but they are all either stupidly expensive (Archos) or perfect...but with a small screen (ipod classic).
I decided to buy a PSP and crack the firmware. The screen is huge and for £20 you can buy a Sony Duo flash memory card (amazon and play are good for that).
Using some free software PSP Video 9 - Free PSP Video Converter you can convert files into the neccesary MP4 format.
I have a 300mb AVI file which converted into 180mb MP4 so it scales down for you
Anyway if you are looking for a cheap mp4 player, with a great battery life, big screen etc it would be worth looking into this.
I wont go into details about cracking firmware, but the info's out there.
