over on Gamespot they are reporting that Sony have confimed that PSone and Ps2 game saves can be transfered over to the PS3 via dongle, which will prolly cost a bit extra. gota hand it to sony they like milking stuff.
Which would you prefer - keeping the old memory card unit slot, and making people buy a new one with larger storage capacity.
Or move over to a much quicker / better system of Memory Stick Duo, which you can get much cheaper than the old memory cards, will be quicker, and can be shared between your PS3, PSP, Phone, Camera, PC?

No, they just like doing things like backwards-compatibility properly, rather than MS's half arsed attempts with 360. Just think, you can spend the money you save on one months Live! subscription on a memory card adapter if you have a PS3 (open online architecture ftw).
