PS Network Trial

Just been accepted into the trailing of the Broadband PS network.
£39.99 for the following :-

- Network Adaptor (Ethernet) for PlayStation 2
- Network Access Disc, plus connection instructions
- SOCOM: US Navy SEALs (online gaming mode only)
- SOCOM USB Headset (for voice chat during gameplay)
- Ethernet straight through cable (2m)

Not bad really. Plus rumours of trialists being sent a full copy of Socom when it is released makes me even happier.

Anyone else get their acceptance mail?

I had heard too that a special version of SOCOM was being included with the trial pack

Well, it's a network only copy, so no single player. Just good, clean online fun.

Folks, has anyone got the email yet telling them to go and purchase the adapter from the Shop on the sony site?

I keep getting a dead link. You would think somebody like Sony would provide big enough bandwith to handle all the purchases.

Come online with us and play games through the PS2 with millions of people worldwide, just don't expect to be able to get it from us cos our online infrastructure can't support it :-o

yup... did the same with me too but I've called them up and they asked for the email address and your login to the Sony site and their customer service teams clear it up...

I'll let them off this time...

Be prepared to wait for a while on the telephone though!

There are 3000 beta testers atm. There will eventually be 10,000 (according to the website).

I heard the emails had been staggered but if not i'm sure you will get an email eventually. Maybe just a little later than some of us.
