no just going on experience of the last 3 years .. every time a new hyped mmorpg hits the streets ppl saying its soo good its gonna smash daoc it does everything perfectly .. then ppl come back a month into retail saying this is broken that is broken this is unbalanced... seems a lot of ppl get carried away with the fact it is new and the exploits of all the chars strengths and weaknesses have not yet been found .. the opt'd group setups havent been worked out and so you cant possibley say its balanced and does everything so much better

Well as i lvled in daoc i had alot of downtime! the quests where so crap and non rewarding you stopped doing quests and just farmed exp at a camp with loads of downtime if you soloed. Both environment and the gameplay itself is sooo much better then daoc. I agree I had great times in daoc and its a great game the all time best ive ever played (before wow)... However having played wow beta now for almost i week all i can say is everything that daoc does wow do better + there are shitloads of features thats implemented that adds alot to the game.. I have logged into daoc a few times only to just stare at the screen and realizing how big difference there actually is.. oh and only thing im worried about is PvP system not fully implemented but that wont matter as it is now im having fun with my friends just doing some quests and fishing.. My ToA kit is at approx 20% (have all items just need to exp em) with my hunter but who cares it just isnt fun anymore.

What saved DaoC for so long has been its PvP. However right now the gameplay on prydwen is at a terrible state. I solo 99% of my playtime and right now there is no way for a solo stealther to stand any chance. Endless stealther zergs from all sides has destroyed the stealther game totally. Was thinking of getting a zerk (lvl 47 currently) but the time needed to put in with both lvling and doing/xping artis + MLs is just insane. If they rerolled back before ToA i would have been competitive and perhaps then could have played some in NF but now...... ToA brought some nice PvE for those that liked PvE side of the game but for most of us out there totally killed RvR.

Was just gonna take 2 weeks off from the game, then came WoW beta, and now when thats over i dont really feel the need to log into daoc. Just waiting for the preorder release next week, so will take a week off to do some rl instead.
