Prydwen corrupt database screwing closed accounts?

Yeah, didn't play my Thid Infi for a while, the complete inventory got deleted.

Will check friend's account later on.

I don't know what the clean up was about, at some of my chars the inventory disappeared, at some the private storage vault and the stuff that the server duped for me on Manisch (Idols of Sobek) was still there.

so far i have 5 chars that have been complete stripped. except for one of my clerics who somehow had a malice 3/3 in one hand, greater leathal poison in the other hand and auralite chip on his head. how they got there i'll never know. but yea i have a reaver i haven't played in 3 months and he was stripped. i dunno if it's a coincendence but this seems to have seriously effected epic items. i know there's been a lose of arti's, rare drops etc. but there isn't one person i don't know who had their epic set and at least some part (if not all) of it has vanished.

Yes there is, ME! My mincer has all his stuff, and 4 parts of his epic on (yes he's a gimp, 9 activated artis and the rest is his epic ). I'm very sorry to hear you lost so much stuff though :/ I'll have to plvl your inf some now i guess.

I'm in a similar situation - my accounts expired in August which I allowed to happen due to a project I've got on atm - I had planned to rejoin at Christmas. Now it looks like if I was to join I'd have a reasonable chance of finding stripped characters, an economy which has had mega-plats pumped into it and excaliens running all over our precious community

Its a pity - its been a great few years and despite all the "characters" the community has been fantastic. The game's combat system is still the most enjoyable of all the mmorpgs I've played so far (of SWG, EQ2, WoW and Eve-Online) although the epic encounters which just need ludicrous amounts of attackers to do any damage was always a bit silly - I would have loved to have tried a Dark Spire raid before ending but hey ho thats life

Anyway there's a whole bucket load of mmos in the pipeline, D&D-online is expected before the end of year, as is Middle Earth Online (erm I mean Lord of the Rings Online ), Warhammer online next year?, Star Trek Online (and who isn't a treky deep down eh?), even a pvp expansion for EQ2 in the next couple of weeks. I suppose DAOCs database corruption couldn't have occured at a worse time.
