Is that why you always start threads by asking a random question?

Yes -I am eternally curious

Lose c.70kgs, pass my accountancy exams and go live in a foreign country on my own.

I have more reasons not to be proud though... ahh well.

Yoni - I know how hard it is to lose weight, but it is the strength to do it that is amazing. From all your posts I gather you have done, are doing great things..

Maybe tomorrow you'll wanna settle down? Until tomorrow, you'll just keep movin' on.

Hehe- At a recent Elbow gig the band said they would come on for an encore if the audience sang the theme tune from littlest Hobo. I am PROUD to say that me and Ed knew it -so did some others, but not many

questions, always questions :p

me, I try to be a good son to my mum, I try to be with my friends as often as possible, I try to be a good person, by my own criteria. when that works, I am proud.

I know -I am a predicitable lass who is intrigued by people's responses (sorry). I like the bit about your own criteria -being a good person is hard and at the end of the day you have to live with yourself and your decisions.

I'm in the nath camp here, nothing really.

Then again i think pride is just another word for cocky :D

"Oh you got an A in math?! I'm so proud of you my son!"
"F*ck off! I earned it and you had f*ck all to do with it!"

There can be a world of difference between pride and cockiess. Im not talking about the 'whooa get me' kind of stuff -just the quiet pleasure of pride when you think 'good job'.
Pride is usually taken in things that were not easy to do -so it gives a good insight into the type of person imo ;)

I'm not really proud of anything, I tend to play down any achievements I have. For example, I plucked up the courage to join the RAF during a time when the iraq war was plastered all over the TV, but then I only did 4 years and decided to leave so to me that overshadowed my achievment.

You should be proud of getting of your arse to do something. Who cares about it only being 4 years. :)

I am proud of my husband in so many ways, every day there is more to him than meets the eye.
I am proud when someone compliments my kids, my kids make people smile, or when one of them does something brave or kind. Sometimes I think that I will spontaneously combust wirh pride trying to do it silently so Im not an annoying mum.
I am proud of all the training and the time we are giving to do the Moonwalk and that I coaxed 5 more people in to doing it.

Sometimes though I regret never having done anything really worthy -like write a book, fight for my country, make people better- all the proper proud stuff. I know there is still time!
