Many 6 year olds forget too and in about 10-15 years in THIS world, i'm guessing the kid will see a lot worse things.

Also:

"During the trial the court heard that his victim blocked the attack out of her mind for seven years before reporting it, after the accused smirked at her outside a nightclub."

I call shenannigans, a stuck up b*tch and bullcrap in one sentence.

Shooting him via vigilante justice, well, let's hope those guys get what's coming to them.

I love how people are making all kinds of judgements on what this guy is like as a parent based on the very limited information we have had about him.

But that's what media love about user generated content, it's full of shit yet we all want to see it.. heh

I call it proper justice, nice to see someone has the balls to do it because all the judges these days are shit.

Maybe so Toht. but i have quite clear memories that go back to when i was about 3 years old, so chances are the 6 year old kid is gonna remember that for life considering the nature of the incident.

It is ofcourse subject to who the person is, how the kid is treated etc.

Can't really say one way or other for sure.

Neither of us know enough about that case to pass comment fairly on the reality of the accusation. What i can say from experience is that 99.99% of bullshit cases get dropped faster than a hot potato by the CPS as they are targeted on successful convictions, not level of case they prosecute.

In plain terms, this means they usually only pursue slam-dunks to a conviction, and normally allow the accused to plea to a lesser charge giving them a quick and easy conviction on anything they weren't certain if they could bring home.

Hope that made sense, typing quickly in work before the joy of a meeting...

Aye, just seems like bull when it's 7 years of "memory loss" and then a wink causes a dramatic flashback. On longer thought, not saying it's not true though.

I'm just curious on how they got enough evidence with most likely no rapekit data etc.

Me too, makes me suspect he may have priors for sexual offences, and there's bound to have been some corroborating physical or witness evidence (video footage, statements from taxi drivers / housemates etc) - i just can't picture a jury convicting a man with no prior convictions, with no physical evidence, with no witness statements.

It's not out of the question, it just makes it incredible unlikely for that a very low-arrest rate and even-lower conviction rate crime that they convicted without a sizeable chunk of evidence.

Bluntly put, that's why so few rapes are convicted it's often a case of "he said, she said" which unless one is a nun and the other a convicted multiple sex offender, probably isn't going to be run with by CPS.

Edit: Making their successful convictions target affects how well their career progresses in CPS, so it's almost unheard of for them to take on anything that's not a slam-dunk.

went to a continuation school - my teacher told me she had a girl who was a bit disturbed but she connected really well with her.
One day, she was called from a kindergarden where the girl was working, telling the teacher that the girl had locked herself in the bathroom and wouldnt speak with anybody else than her.
It was then discovered that she had been sexually abused as a kid and completly forgotten it. But when she was abused her father always played a special song (kids song from a television show), they played the song in the kindergarden and she completly locked down.

I dont find it unlikely. Its an easy way to deal with very hard matters.
