Right, I've had a problem with these for quite a while now Middle speaker not working etc, and having to play around with the wires in order to get it acceptable, but I just plugged in one of the cables (Left Right speakers) and the bass also turned on, the middle speaker isn't working still, but it's supposed to have separate cables for Left + Right and Bass + Middle, now 3 are working off one? LOL

Go back to argos and buy another one.

I don't really understand the way you wrote that what you did and if it's fixed or what.

I suggest getting new wires for the middle speaker?

I don't know the technical names, but it's a Red & White male on both sides, then they merge into one attach on thing that goes into the sound card ;p

Sounds like a standard stereo Phono Cable (below) that merges into a bundle connector. What is the make and model of the Sound System?

Yeah, that's the one.

Tbh lads, it's not REALLY an issue, I just thought it was strange, it doesn't work 100% but it still works, it could be a fault with the system itself, I suppose it's just old, cheap, and got bored of working properly, was just thinking if anyone knew a reason why it was doing it for a instant fix :p
