Dude, what started out as 'i owned this troll tank, I r0x0r' has turned into 'ok, so we had a skirmish and he got me down to 1/4hp before he died'. Now, in my book, having a toe-to-toe and getting your opponent down to 1/4hp can't ever be classified as 'getting owned'. Sounds like a normal skirmish to me.

And one last note, a well specced and skillful tank from one realm will give a good fight to a well specced and skillfull tank from any other realm. Thats how mythic have designed it. The 'who da best0r tank' argument is childish and pointless.

childish it may be! but its also true in my opinion, killing aaanyone is ownage.. even if your both taken down to 0 life and the other guy trips over and breaks his neck, he's still been owned.

You would have to try hard to gimp a warrior lol, what is there to spec in? Shield and sword, most likely a warrior (thanes would use their instas surely? ) I wouldn't say owned (especially if we find out he was a couple of levels below you) but it's still a kill.

Why thankyou, but no, whats the point in duelling a class thats evidently better at rvr? lol, thats like saying, a paladin duelling a hunter is a fair fight! Duels are meant to be fair, in that its always a class against a class thats evenly matched.

The whole reason for this post was to show, that midgard DONT have the best tanks, they have the scariest looking ones, but they aint the best. Polearms are the most damaging weapon in the GAME, i've NEVER seen any melee hit me for 500 dmg before, not even lvl 50's, and i've been doing it since before lvl 40.

Fact of the matter remains, i've never ever ever been hit by none melee from any realm for 500 or more. most i've ever seen is 400. Its a FACT that polearms are the highest damage melee weapons in the game anyway, Mythic have said this themselves lol. Theres no disputing the fact.

I think this is why Albion is the best realm. We have the best tanks, great casters and great healers, Unlike Hib who have a distinct lack of tank, and Mid who have a distinct lack of caster. We have the perfect balance, making us the most powerful realm oh and did i mention we get platemail?

I think this is why Albion is the best realm. We have the best tanks, great casters and great healers,

1. Albion is the best realm on excalibur _so far_ because of organisation and leadership, and i wont mention any names here. The name Karam wouldnt be on the not-to-mention list anyways.

2. Sadly many Albion tanks are gimps and stoopid "charge"-yellers. On the other hand, thats also true of thanes.

3. Albion casters are whimps compared with runemasters, spiritmasters and hibernian casters.

4. Seems to me you dont know nothing about healers in general and absolutely nothing about clerics.

5. You suck.

This really is probably one of the most entertaining threads i've ever made. I just love winding up hibs and mids. I did kill a troll tank 1:1 etc, all thats true, but all the stuff about albion being the best realm etc, its all just to wind you guys up. and god it works lol.

And one more - if u was fighting greys/greens, which couldnt hit you for anything more than 200 dam - sorry, but it's nothing top do with Gratness of Albion.
If You really want to check, is Alb SO good - fight some GOOD players Mid have. If You are affraid to fight lvl 50 - take someone your lvl - we have plenty of them in Macha.

Of course it is but it has nothing to do with the best classes, and it has everything to do with having the most people on the battlefield.

Midgard ruled the early RvR because we had the most high lvl players in the opening phase. Albion is ruling now because they can muster the biggest groups of high lvl people.

They also seem to have gotten themselves organised and have perfected camping the mfg's which I think they learned from us middies earlier ;-)

Still it's good fun and everytime I die all I lose is 5s for a horseh back to the tele ;-)

Although next couple of weeks will be Lvling time as I need to hit 40 ;-)

Torin, you seem to have COMPLETELY missed my entire point.

Armsmen arent that good in rvr when alone, they can do a hell of alot of damage, and kill people easily, but against a fairly good rvr class like healers they wouldtn stand a chance.

This post isnt about me being able to own any class 1:1, its about me being able to own a yellow troll tank 1:1 while i had no stamina atall. which i personally think is quite impressive, and shows the true power of albion

Clerics are still the best class in the game

Can't remember the last time I died RvR when I wasn't massively outnumbered by Hibbies/Middies and have regularly flattened them when they had superior numbers.

The numbers clearly help Albion but there are plenty of Albs that are able to handle themselves in small groups or when outnumbered.

Midgard ruled the early RvR because we had the most high lvl players in the opening phase.

Midgard ruled early on cause so much easier to lvl in Midguard than the other 2 realms, simple as that.

I agree with Karam in many ways.... The polearm does a hell of a lot of dmg and I will outdamage any similar conned tank. Wurens spear btw doesnt hit that hard - much less than those nasty big nasty hammers. Highest I've been hit for is a little over 400 (barring my small pre-lvl40 RvRin sessions). I expect in a fight to beat a similar conned tank 1v1 as long as buffs as same. (pity since Thanes have self buffs). Spear heroes imo dont do much dmg. Id rather face a spear than a 2h crusher (yes yes crush bonus on plate etc). Plus Zaram - killing a yellow con is hardly an achievement - come back when you've 1v1 some oranges.

Cause he's hit me way harder than anyone else ever has at 470 odd I think or about that and that was with me having being Lvl 50 with AF 600+.

He's only hit me once though cause that's what my insta mez is 4

A few people will lvl up very quickly cause they have no life and kick the crap out of everyone else and when they get bored it'll still be impossible to lvl properly cause stealthers will give you xp deaths all over the place.

The way the current servers are set up at least allow you to keep away from your enemies and lvl up safely so you can fight them on an equal terms when you choose to.

True, there's going to be the "nolife" griefers leveling up fast bashing everyone they can see. Not clever: if they don't get bored and leave like you suggested, they're going to have huge crowds of pissed off people after them later on.

True, there's going to be a lot of people who think a solo stealth class will "own" everyone. Too bad a solo stealther will get smashed sooo hard by all the deathpatrols out there hunting just them.

I personally think it's going to be fun, not for the first two months of course, but later on.

i come from a game (Legend of Mir, dunno if i dare mention it ) where u could PK (Player Kill ) just about everywhere except tiny safezones in the middle of towns, everytime you ventured out to hunt some u risked getting PK'ed ...and in that game sure, you didnt loose exp when dying BUT you lost items you wore and items u had in bag
